Ranjith Kunnath

Mr. Ranjith Kunnath’s research interest is in theoretical solid mechanics. Some research topics are elasticity theory, wave propagation, fracture and frictional mechanics, computational mechanics, and earthquake dynamics. Some of the courses that he taught at Mahindra University are Dynamics and Applications, Advanced Mechanics of Solids, Mechanics, Multiphysics, Theory of Elasticity, Fracture and Frictional Mechanics, and Numerical Methods.
He was the Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering during 01/2018-08/2020. He has been selected as a Senior Associate of the International Centre for Theoretical Physics (ICTP), Trieste, Italy for the six-year period 1/2023 to 12/2028.
