First-year students of Journalism and Mass Communication went on a heritage walk to Hyderabad’s Charminar
The first-year students of Bachelor of Journalism and Mass Communication at Mahindra University’s School of Media participated in a heritage walk at Hyderabad’s iconic Charminar as part of their week-long orientation.
The walk was led by Dr. Jyotirmay Das, assistant professor at the School of Media. He was accompanied by Ved Shukla from the School.
The curated walk served as an exercise in discovering the historical and cultural significance of the Charminar, Gulzar Houz, Badshahi Ashurkhana, and other nearby monuments and artefacts.
The students understood how urban communication works, especially through symbols, signage, billboards, graffiti, and murals.
