Law Students Explored Hyderabad’s H.E.H Nizam’s Museum
Mahindra University’s School of Law students explored Hyderabad’s hidden gem and delved into its historical Journey through Incredible India
93 students from Mahindra University’s School of Engineering, accompanied by professors Paromita Das Gupta, Imtiaz Quadri, and Aparna Singh, embarked on a unique field trip to the H.E.H. Nizam’s Museum, a captivating 250-year-old mansion often overshadowed by its more famous counterpart, the Salar Jung Museum.
This trip, part of Dr. Das Gupta’s optional course “Incredible India: A Historical Journey Through Food, Culture & Material Objects,” offered students an immersive experience.
The museum’s collection of souvenirs, gifts, and models presented to the Nizam for his silver jubilee celebrations in 1936 provided a window into a bygone era. A highlight of this visit was the world’s largest two-tier walk-in wardrobe with a built-in manual lift!
This exploration of Hyderabad’s cultural heritage ignited curiosity and sparked the students’ imagination.
