Mahindra University students—Cherith Reddy Yerabolu, Geethika Y., Monisha Kollipara, and Sri Dhruti Tikkisetti—have won the National Finals of the Sopra Steria International Student Competition that challenges students to leverage AI and innovation to solve global issues, driving creativity and impactful ideas.

Under the guidance of Prof. Surekha Tetali from the Centre for Sustainability, the team stood out among over 500 entries with their groundbreaking idea, Terra Tide: The 3P Approach to Adapt to Increasing Heat on Earth. Special recognition goes to the second finalist team—Shashank Mutyala, Shreeyan Bejagam, and Hemanth Kakkireni—for making it to the National Finale.

The winning team will fly the Indian flag high on the global stage in Spain this March.
