The Outreach Club of Mahindra University in collaboration with Goonj, organized a “MU Collection Drive” on the 26th of May, 2022 which promoted the necessity of each and every person doing their part in making this world a better place.

Students, staff and faculty alike came together to donate generously for the cause. This was an initiative taken by the School of Law, on the occasion of World Environment Day which is on the 5th of June, 2022 and the theme this year is “only One Earth”. The idea behind the initiative was to educate people on the 4 R’s of sustainability- Reduce, Reuse, Recycle and Recover.

The School of Law, Mahindra University also organized a webinar on “Exploring the Environmental Price of Fast Fashion” on May 26, 2022. The speaker for the session was Ms. Navya Singh, an independent journalist working for the cause. The objective of this webinar was to create awareness among participants about the destructive impact of their choices on the environment and to sensitize them toward building a sustainable future. The session was very interactive. The speaker highlighted how fast fashion is destructive to the environment and how can we bring change in our shopping patterns and how to reuse and recycle our clothes for a sustainable tomorrow.
