Students from the School of Media visited the Telangana State Archives and Research Institute in Hyderabad on 27th of February. The immersive visit aimed to deepen their understanding of archival practices, historical documentation, and the significance of preserving one’s heritage.
The Director of the Archive, Dr. Zareena Parveen, held an interactive session where she shared invaluable insights into Telangana’s rich history, the meticulous archiving processes, and the critical importance of historical knowledge. The students also explored the various methods of selecting, preserving, digitizing, and archiving ancient manuscripts and printed records.
The experience helped broaden their academic horizons and reinforced the importance of preserving one’s cultural legacy for future generations. The visit inspired the students to contribute in their way to the ongoing narrative of our collective history.
