Rahul Roy

Mr. Rahul Roy is currently working as an Assistant Professor in the department of Computer Science and Engineering at École Centrale School of Engineering, Mahindra University, Hyderabad in December 2022.
He received his Integrated M.Sc in Computer Science and Engineering from Assam University in year 2009. In 2011, he received his M. Tech. degree in the specialization of Computer Science and Engineering at Kalinga Institute of Technology, Odisha. He is pursuing his Ph.D. program from Jadavpur University.
He is the recipient of University Gold Medal for securing 1st class first position in Integrated M.Sc from Assam University in 2009. He has also received DST young scientist travel award in 2015 for attending Workshop organized at Field’s Institute, Toronto. In PREMI 2021 and ICAIHC 2022, he was awarded with best paper award for presenting two of his research works.
Before joining (MU), he was working as an Assistant professor in GITAM University Hyderabad since December. 2020 and National Institute of Science and Technology, Odisha from February 2019. He worked as research fellow in various projects at Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata before joining Visvesvaraya PhD fellowship offered by MeitY in 2016.
His research interests include Medical Image Analysis, Computer Vision, Neurocognitive learning, Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing and Computational Intelligence.
