Dr. Rajesh B is an accomplished academic with over a decade of experience in higher education, specializing in machine learning, big data, analytics, and image processing. Where he integrates his research into his teaching, creating a vibrant and interactive learning environment. He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science & Engineering from REVA University and has a strong foundation in computer science, with an M.Sc. and B.Sc. from the University of Mysore.
His previous roles include Assistant Professor at Dr. B R Ambedkar School of Economics University, Bengaluru, and Head of the Computer Science Department at The Dalai Lama Institute for Higher Education, Bangalore.
Dr. Rajesh is also actively involved in curriculum development and has contributed to restructuring academic programs. His passion for information technology drives both his research and teaching, aiming to empower students with the skills and knowledge to excel in the evolving digital landscape. He is also pursuing a PG program in Data Analytics and Data Science in collaboration with Purdue University to stay at the forefront of his field.

Dr. Rajesh B’s research interests span machine learning, big data & analytics, image processing, and data science. He focuses on developing predictive models, analyzing large datasets to extract valuable insights, and enhancing visual information through image processing. His work leverages to address complex, real-world problems and integrates data science techniques to drive innovation and improve decision-making across various domains.
Research Projects:
He has been actively involved in several impactful research projects. His work includes studying the role of the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS) in preventing distress migration and its economic and environmental impact, funded by RDPR Karnataka. He has also contributed to research on child education during the COVID-19 pandemic, funded by Newcastle University, UK. Additionally, Dr. Rajesh has served as a research consultant for projects like “Nourishing School” and explored topics such as brokers in slum settlements and coastal surveillance systems. His research is characterized by a focus on real-world applications and societal impact.
