BBA Applied Economics & Finance
Overview
According to the Centre for Economics and Business Research, a think tank based in United Kingdom, India is set to become the world’s third largest economy by 2030, overtaking the U.K. in 2025, Germany in 2027 and Japan in 2030.[1] By 2025, one-fifth of the world’s working age population will be Indian. By 2030 there will be over 850 million internet users in India. By 2035 India’s five largest cities will have economies of comparable size to middle income countries today. There is no market over the next 20 years which offers more growth opportunities for domestic and foreign investors than India. These statistics show immense potential of candidates graduating with a degree in Economics and Finance, because there will be corresponding growth in a number of sectors where these graduates will be in high demand –
- Banking, financial services and insurance (BFSI),
- Consulting,
- Research institutions,
- Fast moving consumer goods,
- E-Commerce, and
- Manufacturing, among others.
