Weather Station
Mahindra University inaugurated state-of-the-art meteorological and air quality monitoring station, a collaborative effort with the US Consulate General in Hyderabad, City University of New York (CUNY), and Bronx Community College (BCC). This cutting-edge facility significantly enhances India’s environmental data network, providing valuable insights for research, education, and policymaking.
Equipped with advanced technology, including the AirLink air quality monitor and Davis Vantage Pro2 Plus weather station, the solar-powered station will measure a wide range of environmental parameters: temperature, humidity, wind speed and direction, rainfall, sunlight, UV radiation, and air quality index (AQI). Real-time data will be transmitted to platforms like the Davis WeatherLink app and IBM’s Weather Underground Network, enabling accessible analysis and public awareness.
By combining the expertise of academic institutions and diplomatic efforts, this joint venture aims to contribute to a more sustainable future, fostering environmental awareness and informed decision-making.
